Peabo has earned 2 Academy Awards, 2 Grammy Awards, 8 Grammy nominations, 5 gold albums, 25 top 20 singles, and 6 #1 singles. Peabo’s newest album will release in 2025. It is produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (producers for Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, and Prince).

The Parker Playhouse curtain rose for the first time on February 6, 1967. One of Fort Lauderdale’s first venues, the neo-classical Playhouse, was built by Dr. Louis Parker and is managed now by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. This 1,167-seat fully equipped theater plays an important role in the community by serving as a vibrant part of the area. Parker Playhouse helps fuel economic development while also bringing the community together with performances, activities and educational programming.
